Matt created the Christina Mauser Foundation to honor Christina — an athlete, mother of three, and passionate advocate for women.
The first three official monetary awards were given through a partnership with the Rose Bowl Institute, who created the Christina Mauser Scholarship Awards. The scholarships were awarded to three women who exemplified the sportsmanship and leadership qualities of the late Christina Mauser.
Applications for the 2022 Christina Mauser Scholarship Awards are now being accepted. The Scholarship Award winners must embody Christina’s spirit and characteristics, such as organization, hard work, humility, and empathy for people. Award winners must be a current or past athlete, preferably in women’s basketball (but not required), possess at least a 2.5 GPA in both the ongoing and previous school year’s course work and be able to provide verification in an official school document.
